Matchmaker, Matchmaker Make Me a Group - Carolyn Ehrlich, LCSW, CGP
Event Description:We as group therapists can often allow our desire to form and sustain our groups blind us from effectively selecting its members. What patient selection criteria can we keep top of mind in order to create and maintain healthy thriving groups?
Our goal is to learn more about how to form successful patient to group matches. We will do so by discussing patient selection criteria in a didactic format, to be followed by an experiential process where we can explore the good and bad matches we’ve encountered both as group therapists and as individuals.
Bio: Carolyn Ehrlich, LCSW, CGP is a psychotherapist in private practice for over 17 years. She started incorporating group work into her practice over 8 years ago, is serving on the EGPS Board of Directors for over 7 years, and is Dean of Admissions for the EGPS Training Program. Carolyn has conducted workshops on behalf of EGPS to promote professional interest group psychotherapy. Carolyn’s previous career was in Graphic Design.
