Hi EC,

I haven't had any responses from the Board. I'd reached out to Nardia,
Jacqueline, and Joan individually prior to my email to the Board. The three
declined prior to my reaching out to the rest of the Board.

I thought about reaching out to Fanita, but decided that the proposal
should be considered by the whole EC because it would make the Nominating
Committee almost a duplicate of the EC. I think it's important that the
Nominating Committee is composed of people who know the membership fairly
well. Suggestions?

Dear Elected Board Members,

As required by the bylaws, the past-president is responsible for convening
the Nominating Committee to fill Board vacancies for the upcoming terms. In
that role, and also in the bylaws, the committee must include *at least one
elected Board member.* So, I'm inviting at least one of you to serve on
this time-limited committee with Joe and me.

My experience on the committee in previous years is that we will likely
need to meet twice and then would divide up some responsibilities to
contact specific EGPS members. The outcomes of our contacts would be on a
shared document, so as to minimize the number of meetings. I would aim to
have the first meeting in early February to plan our strategy (nominations
are due 2/14, so we can't do much before then). The next meeting would be
in mid-March to assess the results and plan to address the gaps (final
slate is due 3/31).

*Let me know by Tuesday 1/20/26* if you can take on a new EGPS commitment
for this short time. Once I have the committee formed, I'll canvas for
convenient meeting dates.
